Administrative Changes

Name Change / Correction

After an evaluation report has been issued, name updates or corrections may be requested. Legal name changes require official documentation, while minor corrections require a brief explanation and supporting materials; for CPA exam applications, the name on the evaluation must exactly match the applicant’s passport.

FACS encourages applicants to review their evaluation carefully once it has been issued. Review requests submitted more than 30 days after the evaluation date require an Administrative Review Fee. This review option is intended for requests such as examining potential errors or omissions, reconsidering course classifications based on additional course descriptions, or clarifying documentation that was previously submitted. Requests received within 30 days are reviewed at no charge, when appropriate. Please note that payment of the review fee does not guarantee a change to the evaluation outcome. This fee does not apply to the addition of new courses or credentials, name change requests, or clarifications initiated by an institution. See here for more information.

Translation Terms and Conditions*

1. Non-Refundable After Work Commences
Once translation work has begun following receipt of your documents, the translation fee becomes non-refundable. Translation services require immediate allocation of time and resources, which is why refunds cannot be issued after work has started.
2. Incorrect Document Submission
If you submit incorrect documents, please contact us immediately. If translation work has not yet commenced, we will do our best to accommodate changes. However, if work has already started, the original translation fee remains non-refundable.
3. Cancellation Due to Change in Need
If you no longer require the translation service after submitting your documents, please be aware that the fee is still non-refundable, as work typically begins promptly upon document receipt.

Certificate of Enrollment Courses (COE - Bridge/Anticipated/Enrolled Courses)(CPA APPLICANTS ONLY)

This service is available exclusively to CPA applicants seeking an update to a previously issued FACS CPA evaluation for the Guam or Vermont Boards of Accountancy. Applicants may use this option to (a) report completion of COE courses that were previously listed as anticipated or enrolled and/or (b) add new COE courses to an existing CPA evaluation, without submitting a new application. This service is limited to bridge coursework only and does not apply to the addition of new degrees or credentials.

For completed COE coursework, applicants must ensure that official, updated transcripts are sent directly to FACS by the issuing institution, either electronically to [email protected] or by postal mail to FACS, 105 West Vandalia, Suite 120, Edwardsville, Illinois 62025. Official transcripts reflecting completed coursework must be received within six (6) months of course completion.

For new COE courses that were not previously reported, applicants should not submit an official transcript, as the coursework has not yet been completed. These courses will be reflected on the evaluation as anticipated or enrolled, subject to future completion and verification if required by the applicable board of accountancy.

Rush Service Terms*

Rush services begin upon receipt and approval of all required documents, application forms and fee payments. Applications requesting rush service are reviewed within 48 hours of receipt. Mailing time is not included in rush services. Please see mailing options below. If additional information is required to complete the evaluation, and it cannot be provided within the time frame for rush services, we will place the application in the regular processing queue and refund the rush service fee, minus a processing fee. The processing fee is 25% of the rush service fee.
