Administrative Review Policy
FACS encourages applicants to carefully review their evaluation report promptly upon receipt. To support timely processing and manage administrative resources, the following policy updates apply to post-issuance review requests.Reviews Requested Within 30 Days of Issue
If a review is requested within 30 days of the evaluation issue date, FACS will review the report at no charge when:
- A clerical or analytical error may have occurred on the part of FACS, or clarification or supplemental information is provided that supports reconsideration of a course classification or evaluation outcome.
- If a revision is warranted, the evaluation will be updated accordingly.
Reviews Requested More Than 30 Days After Issue
Review requests submitted more than 30 days after the evaluation issue date can be made from our Additional Services page. This service covers administrative time associated with reviewing the request and reassessing the evaluation based on information already submitted or clarified.Examples of requests covered by this service include (but are not limited to):
- Review of potential errors or omissions
- Submission of course descriptions to support a revised course classification (e.g., determining whether a course meets a specific subject-area requirement when this was not apparent from the course title alone)
- Re-evaluation following clarification from an institution regarding previously submitted, but incomplete or unclear, documentation.
Please note that payment of the Administrative Review Fee does not guarantee a change to the evaluation outcome.
Examples of requests not covered by this service include (but are not limited to):
- Additional courses, credentials, or documents not included in the original application
- Name change requests
- Requests that require a new evaluation due to newly submitted academic records
- These requests require an additional application and applicable fees
Third-Party Recipient Clarifications
Requests initiated by third-party recipients (such as institutional responses to verification or clarification inquiries) are
not subject to the Administrative Review Fee.
